Baptisms are usually held the first Sunday of the month after the 9:00 am Mass. To schedule a Baptism, you should be a registered member of St. Joseph Parish (or you will need permission from the parish where you are registered). At least one of the Godparents must be a practicing Catholic. Please call the parish office at (630) 844-3780 to make arrangements.

Confirmation

The sacrament of Confirmation is conferred by the Bishop of the Diocese of Rockford to candidates in 7th & 8th grade every two years. There is a two-year educational preparation for candidates that do not attend Pope St. John Paul II Catholic Academy. For more information, please contact our Faith Formation Office at 630-844-3780.

Adult Confirmation classes are also offered beginning in January each year.

Wedding

Please call the parish office at 630-844-3780 at least 6 months before your wedding date to arrange dates and begin preparation.

Here’s a helpful guide to get started

First Communion

The Sacraments of Reconciliation (Confession) and First Communion are part of a two-year journey, typically beginning when the child enters the first grade.  To participate in these Sacraments, a child must be baptized.  To prepare and understand these Sacraments more fully, children in the Sacramental preparation program will be required to be enrolled in Faith Formation (Religious Education) class at St. Joseph Parish or be enrolled in a Catholic School. In addition, parents (at least one) must attend and be active participants in the Family Faith Formation (FFF) program with their child(ren). For more information, contact the Parish Office 630-844-3780.
